Roger Swier, M.Ed., Director
Roger has been Director of St. Luke’s Ministry since 2007. He had served as part-time volunteer Placement Facilitator for SLM since 2004.
Roger is retired from a successful business career, including serving as co-founder and President of Software Plus, Inc., which grew to become the largest reseller of computer products in the state of Hawaii, with over 50 employees. He has a B.A. Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance. Roger is also the founder of an Africa-aid organization and visits Africa annually to continue his support for orphans, village children and church development.
Bonnie Brundige, R.N., B.S.N., Program Coordinator/Instructor
Bonnie is St. Luke’s Ministry’s Program Coordinator, responsible to the State Board of Nursing, and Primary Instructor. Previously, she was Class Instructor, Class Skills Trainer and Clinical Instructor for SLM. She has many years of R.N. experience and education in long-term care including Alzheimer’s care, as well as experience in a spinal-injury rehabilitation center and a post-surgical unit.
Megan Bates, B.A., C.N.A., Program Facilitator
Megan is a 2008 graduate of SLM Nurse Aide Training Program and is our Program Facilitator and Administrative Specialist. She has been our Lead Skills Trainer for the past two years and leads many of our written-exam preparation classes.
Megan earned a B.A. in Spanish and has completed all pre-med course requirements. She plans to apply to various medical schools for the Sept. 2011 class. Among her previous positions she was a Medical Assistant for 2 years. She also has extensive ESL training and experience.
Genevieve Sweets-Sanchez , L.P.N., Asssistant Class Instructor
Genevieve is Skills Trainer and Clinicals Instructor for SLM. She has worked with St. Luke's Ministry since 2009. Her background includes many years as a Staff Nurse and Charge Nurse in Omaha in skilled nursing facilities and hospitals, and in home health and private duty nursing.
Genevieve was also a Class Instructor, Skills Trainer and Clinical Instructor for 3 years at the National Training Institute in Omaha, where she worked extensively with various African immigrant groups. |
