Skills Practice Workshops

St. Luke’s Ministry offers supervised Skills Practice Workshops to graduates of other Nurse Aide training programs who want a thorough preparation for the CNA certification skills exam.  The skills exam pass-rate for those who complete this workshop package is almost 100%.

The fee for a package of up to six (6) Skills Practice Workshops is $250 for those who have completed their training in the past year and are on their first or second attempt.  The fee for a package of up to eight (8) sessions is $300 for those who have completed their training more than a year ago or on their third and final attempt. 

Partial scholarships of up to $100 may be available for recent immigrants through our Immigrant Support Program, funded by Wheat Ridge Ministries.  You are able to attend a maximum of 2 workshops per week. 

There is a “try before you buy” option:  You are able to try your first Skills Practice Workshop before you make a decision to purchase the package.

Graduates from St. Luke’s Ministry Nurse Aide Training Program have access to our Skills Practice Workshops at no additional cost.

Written-Exam Preparation Classes

St. Luke’s Ministry offers several modules to help you prepare for the written exam.  (A vocabulary test will first be given to see if the program is appropriate for you.)  Most students will need to complete all 3 modules before they are ready to take the certification written exam.

• Standard Track Classes (on-going):  Includes nurse aide textbook chapter quizzes, basic nursing skills content review, practice final exams and nurse aide vocabulary exercises.
• Advanced Oral Exam Preparation Classes (on-going):  Includes practice oral final exams and vocabulary exercises to help prepare students for the oral exam option of the CNA certification written exam.
• Self-paced Internet Practice Tests:  From Headmaster, 72 questions per test.  Scores are given for each test, and feedback is given on the vocabulary and phrases from the questions you miss.

The fee for 8 sessions of each class module is $80 per month.  Standard Track classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, from 9:00 - 11:00.  Advanced Oral Exam classes are held on Monday and Wednesday mornings, from 9:00 - 11:00.  Both tracks are open-entry, open-exit. 

The fee for five (5) Internet Practice Tests from Headmaster (72 questions each) is $15.

Partial scholarships of up to 50% of the cost of the classes may be available for recent immigrants through our Immigrant Support Program, funded by Wheat Ridge Ministries. 

Graduates from St. Luke’s Ministry Nurse Aide Training Program have access to our Written-Exam Preparation Classes at no additional cost.
